Flossing

Flossing is a great strategy for keeping your teeth clean. It consists of a thin cord that is inserted between adjacent teeth and moved back and forth to loosing debris and plaque. It is very beneficial in removing substances that cannot be reached by brushing.

Flossing is also beneficial because it increases the blood circulation in your gums, which in turn keeps your gum tissue healthy and strong. Flossing should be done at least once a day, ideally before bed so that plaque does not get the opportunity to damage your teeth enamel while you sleep.

There are many options for floss, such as different flavours and cord materials as well as single-use holders that help those that have a trouble wrapping the cord around their fingers. Keep in mind that if your gums bleed, it just means that they need to get used to flossing.
